The Course: Race Permit ARC/26/0507. Max entries 200.
The race starts and finishes on the beach by The Bay, Hoburne Holidays, just one minute from race HQ. The course follows the beach to Minehead then returns along the flat coast path and the Steam Coast cycle path, alongside the steam railway. The tide will be receding quickly due to the Blue Moon Spring Tide on the same day. The beach allows for routes across sand and shingle. The return crosses over short grass beside the golf course, private road through chalets, tarmac cycle path and across pebbles – care must be taken! The route will not be marked as any route along the beach is permitted but there will be marshals and signage at key points. Themed water stations will be at Miles 3.7 and 5.5 (Minehead and Dunster Beach). The route is open to the public and no priority to runners can be assumed.
The start will be wide, so no problem dodging around slower runners and no need for chip timing.
There will be First Aid at the turn around and the finish.
Number Pick-up: Race bibs are to be collected no later than 10.15am from The Bay, Race HQ.
Free T-shirts, Medals and Ice-Cream: Free T-shirts to all entries before 17th May, after then, they cannot be guaranteed. There will be free medals and ice-cream for all finishers!
