From 5ks to Ultra Marathons, there are lots of local running events that you can take part in, all year round. Here are a few events and event organisers to get you started. We also have lots of event posts in our Facebook Group, if you’re looking for some inspiration.

• Minehead Parkrun – every Saturday, on the seafront in Minehead
• Channel Events – Running events throughout the year including the Dark Skies Series, Minehead Triathlon and Steaming to the Coast
• Bideford Amateur Athletic Club – Bideford Half Marathon, Bideford 10k and Bideford 10 miler
• Somerset Series – 16 Epic trail Running Events from January to November organised by individual running clubs
• Burnham on Sea Harriers – The Burnham Half Marathon, Brent Knoll Race and the Brean Banger which is part of the Somerset Series
• Weston Athletic Club – Home of the Mendip Muddle, Dave Jones Prom Run Series and Christmas Cracker
• Sportiva Events – Lots of running events all year round including trail running, night runs, canicross and triathlon events
• LM Events – 6 annual events including two Exmouth 10ks and the Sidmouth 10k
• Active South West – Taunton Half Marathon
• Running Forever – the Humdinger and Hurtle and the Herepath Half (both part of the Somerset Series)
• Badrat Runners – Badrat Bolt (Somerset Series)
• Dulverton Trail Fun Run and Canicross
• Quantock Harriers – Quantock Beast (Somerset Series)
• Prosper Events – Taunton Trail 10k and Half Marathon, Blackdown Hills Trail 10k and Half Marathon and the Quantocks Half Marathon
• Butcombe Trail Ultra Marathon
• Albion Running – Ultra running events including the Mendip Marauder
