Entries surge for Race the Tide, Chase the Train
Excitement is building fast for Minehead Running Club’s unique Race the Tide, Chase the Train event on 31 May, with more than 100 entries already confirmed.
With just 4 weeks to go, organisers are urging runners to secure their place before the race sells-out. Entrants can look forward to a free T-shirt, free medal, free ice-cream and plenty of big seaside vibes.

Race round-up
Minehead Running Club members have been out in force, delivering standout performances across the country.
At the London Marathon, Lucie stormed home in 3:57:45, while Kevin produced a phenomenal 3:11:57, finishing 5th in his age category.
Elsewhere, Dan and James took on the Easter Bunny 10k in Yeovil, while Robin, Richard, Laura and James tackled Steaming to the Coast, with both Robin & Maggy completing the full marathon over serious elevation. Maggy also went on to complete a virtual London Marathon in the same month!
The results kept coming at the tough 15-mile Big Cheese, where Sue, Richard, Baz, Tanya and Martin all impressed. Tanya claimed 1st FV35, Sue 1st FV55, Richard 2nd MV70, and Martin 1st MV60.
At the Ilminster 10k, Jackie, Tanya, Martin, Baz and Danny continued the club’s strong form, with Tanya finishing 1st Lady overall and Martin again taking 1st MV60.

MRC on Tour: The Coleridge Way
The club’s Monday evening Adventure Trail Run has also hit the trail, with 2 of 9 Coleridge Way stages completed so far. The next stage takes place on 11 May, with members and non-members welcome to join the adventure.
